Mar Menor
Mar Menor, translated means Little Sea. It is a unique area on the east coast of Spain in Costa Calida just south of Cabo Roig. Only a very few regions have a saltwater lake and a Mediterranean shore which this area of Murcia has the fortune to have.
Rain is rare in this region, and as the winters are mild (rarely falling below a temperature of 10°C) and with over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, the water in Mar Menor can reach 30°C in the height of the season in August.

Guardamar
Guardamar is well worth a visit to see the long stretch of sand dunes and palm trees . Located at the mouth of the River Segura, it is surrounded by eucalyptus, pine and palm trees, all of which were purposely planted to prevent the erosion of one of Spain 's finest beaches. Guardamar beach is made of the most beautiful white sand and what with the smell from the incredible trees behind, makes for a very pleasurable experience.
